A Band of Timeless Diversity
Our Vision
Performing in Nashville and Miami venues, Chronology emerges as a groundbreaking ensemble in contemporary jazz and Latin fusion. Chronology is an embodiment of dynamic musicianship met with diversity. Originally formed as a quartet consisting of Ecuadorian drummer Juan Posso, Chinese bassist Tianyu Zhang, Chinese pianist Taibai Mou, and Floridian saxophonist Kevin Shinskie, Chronology aims to connect audiences with the music of Latin America, R&B, traditional jazz, and modern ECM fusion. Since their debut performance at The Salamander in Overtown, Miami, Chronology has made multiple appearances on the Miami Jazz Radio Station and held showcases at the Adrienne Arsht Center, masterclasses in Davidson County, TN, and performances at Nashville venues like The Underdog, Urban Cowboy, and Strega. They continue to strive to bring audiences deeper into the modern jazz tradition with a diversity of cultural styles and grooves!
